HSX5010 Communication Server
Application Scope:
The HSX5010 Communication Server is a new type of integrated management unit for substation automation information, applicable to substation automation systems of various voltage levels, scales and functional requirements, as well as related power communication projects.
The HSX5010 Communication Server can serve as a communication management server in substations, a communication protocol conversion device for intelligent devices in substations, or a slave station in protection management systems to access protection devices in substations and complete the information collection and management of protection devices in substations.

Protocol Conversion |
1) Converts non-103 protocols to 103 protocols supported by the background to realize integrated automation of substations or power plants. It can support access via RS232, RS485, CAN network, Ethernet, etc., as required. 2) Converts non-101, 104, CDT protocols to 101, 104, CDT for output. 3) HSX5010 can connect to 4 103 master backgrounds simultaneously. 4) HSX5010 can provide the background with the connection status of its underlying devices for the background to monitor whether the communication of each device is normal. 5) HSX5010 itself and Ethernet devices can be directly separated from the background by means of numbering with No. 100. CAN devices and serial port devices are extracted from the remote signals of HSX5010, and Ethernet devices can also be extracted from remote signals. 6) The response time of Ethernet devices is about 1 minute, that of CAN devices is about 5 minutes, and that of serial port devices is about 5 minutes. 7) The remote signal of device communication status of HSX5010 starts from 11 (9 inputs and 1 total signal reset), corresponding to the device with address 1, and so on. The first 10 remote signals correspond to the 10 inputs of the device itself. 8) The communication status extracted from the remote signals of HSX5010 is only valid when the communication of HSX5010 itself is normal. |
GPS Time Synchronization |
HSX5010 can be connected to a GPS plug-in and synchronize time with the background through UDP packets. |

Audio Drive |
When a protection or alarm event occurs in the substation, it is necessary to drive the accident or alarm audio (electric bell or electric horn). HSX5010 itself has output contacts for accident audio and alarm audio. After being driven, it can be manually reset, automatically reset with a 15-second delay, or reset with the reset button on the background. When multiple events occur successively, the last event will be delayed for 15 seconds. It can also directly drive the speaker to simulate the sound output of electric bell and electric horn. |

Remote Dispatching Transmission |
HSX5010 can upload telemetry, remote signals and SOE of devices communicating with HSX5010 to the superior dispatching through CDT, 101 or 104 protocols. Supported devices include CAN network devices, serial port devices and Ethernet devices. |
Monitor Serial Port Data |
There are two methods to view serial port data: The monitoring software CoolNets can be used to monitor its serial port data. It can be monitored directly on the LCD screen. |
